 “If Jade is comfortable with Matt and vice versa there shouldn’t be a problem. After all we’re supposed to have her best interests at heart” Derek just nodded in response.

 “If Jade wants to she can come to band practise with me today?” Matt suggested. Haley and Derek looked at each other for a few seconds then back at me and Matt. I was hoping they’d agree. Derek started to walk towards the exit of the office and signalled for me to follow him. I did. When I was out in the hall way Derek took me off so that no-one would be able to hear what was being said between us.

 “You do know that I’m not going to let him adopt you?” I simply nodded. He had a tight grip on my arm and it was starting hurt. Derek carried on.

 “Anyways if he did adopt you he would only bring you back after he realises what a stupid and worthless bitch you are” I looked down at my shoes. Every chance that he had to put me down he took.

 “You’re nothing but a waste of space I don’t know how anybody including me puts up with you. But moving on when you get back in there I want you to make up some excuse of not going to his little band practise” I knew that if I did as he said Matt would probably get suspicious and ask questions. “But Matt will probably suspect that there’s something wrong and so will Haley” I looked up after I said that and I saw that he was thinking. Slowly he nodded in agreement to what I was saying. He pushed me in front of him signalling me to walk, so I did. I went back into the office and sat back down next to Matt. Derek soon followed me in.

 “Well Jade can go with you to your band practise today”

 “Sweet. Can she come now?” Derek simply nodded. Matt stood up; he looked towards me and smiled. I smiled back at him and got up from out of the chair. “Well I guess I best go get ready and stuff” I said while walking towards the door. I could hear Matt’s foots steps following me.

I'm bored so I thought that I would share the dream that I had about Matthew 'cause I'm nice like that.

Anyways I lived with him go me and he was like all weird and secretive but still the loveable dork that he is. So it's all good. So I was making a late dinner so us seen as it was quite late and I was hungry. When I placed his dinner infront of him he just looked at it and said that he wasn't hungry and his stomach rumbled well loud. So he was lying to me [Twatter]. But I just shrugged and threw it away. After a while he said that he was going out to get some more beer so he left. I watched TV and noticed that he had left his wallet on the coffee table so I went after him with it. When I found him he had his teeth sunk into some guys neck [Yes he's a fucking vampire =P]. But normally as you all know I love the idea of Matthew being a vampire but I didn't this time [Shocker I know], I dropped his wallet and ran like the clappers back to the house and locked myself in. Matthew was soon banging on the door and telling me to let him but I wouldn't. He said that he wouldn't hurt me and just wanted to talk to him. He had to say it a few times for me to respond. I opened the door to him but had a kitchen knife held by my side just incase. He sat me down and explained everything like how he was a vampire and how long ect. He answered all the questions I had for him as well. I soon started to feel comfortable with him and kind of started to act like I used to act with him before I knew that he was a vampire. I ended up getting tired and fell asleep on him, after I drifted off to sleep I felt teeth sink into my neck. I woke up and tried pushing Matthew away but he was too strong [Well duhh]. Anyways he ended up killing me. That seems to be a theme to all my dreams at the moment. I think he might be trying to tell me summate.

Yerrr he isn't as cute as you all thought.

Derek the owner walked into the office. Instantly the atmosphere dropped. I knew that he would do everything in his power not to let Matt adopt me. I looked down.

 “Anything the matter?” Matt asked me.

 “No” I lied. It hurt to lie to him but I knew it was for the best.

 “Who are you?” Derek asked addressing Matt.

 “Matt” I could tell from the tone of Matt’s voice that Matt didn’t like Derek. Could he tell that I was scared of him? Or did he just get a feeling about him?

 “Ok, what’s going on here?” Derek asked again but this time he was addressing Haley.

 “Matt came in wanting to adopt someone and Jade is the only person that fits his description”

 “Oh, is he suitable?”

 “Yes”

 “Are you sure?” Haley went back to the computer and run a few checks. I heard Matt breathe heavily. He was starting to get agitated. I couldn’t blame him.

 “Well he does have a criminal record”

 “What for?”

 “One was for speeding and the other was for being drunk and disorderly”

 “Well that could alter things then” I could tell that he was enjoying this.

 “He got it last year though”

 “He still has a criminal record” I was hating the fact that they were acting like Matt wasn’t there. I looked over to where Matt was, he seemed to be annoyed about this. To tell the truth I couldn’t blame him. Derek seemed to hate Matt’s guts. I don’t see why though. For a start Derek didn’t even know Matt so he had no right to pass a judgement on him well not just yet.

 “Well I haven’t done anything that’s really offensive”

 “Still has to be taken into consideration” Derek shot back under minding him. Matt just gave him a death glare. It seemed to be quite effective. I’d had enough. I wanted to get to know Matt more. “Well if he’s ok as a person what does it matter?” I said piping up.

 “She does have a point” Haley said backing me up. Derek just stood there unresponsive. Haley started to carry on with what she was saying.

 “If Jade is comfortable with Matt and vice versa there shouldn’t be a problem. After all we’re supposed to have her best interests at heart”

so yeah I'm causing shit on there. I'm finding it really funny for some reason.

 The blade ran across my wrist. I watched as the blood drip into the sink. The blade sank deeper into my bruised skin. All I could do was wince, but I’d rather wince at pain that was self inflicted than wince at pain that someone else caused me. There was a knock at the door. I jumped seen as I wasn’t expecting it. I hoped that it wasn’t the guy who owned the children’s home. It was the only person that I didn’t want it to be. I knew that I couldn’t survive another beating. He had knocked just about all the life out of me. Six months in this hell hole and no-one wants me. The person knocked again.

 “Come on out of there” a woman’s voice said. I sighed with relief.

 “I’m busy” I said and randomly sprayed the can of hairspray beside me to make it look like I was doing my hair.

 “No, there’s someone downstairs that would like to meet you now” I sighed and started to bandage up my wrists. I opened the bathroom door soon after with my jacket sleeves pulled over my wrists. I was greeted by Haley. She was the nicest care worker out of the lot of them. She always had a smile on her face. I don’t know how she can be so cheery and happy all the time to be honest.

 “Come on then” she said as she started to make her way down the hall way. I simply followed. She went into the main office closely followed by me.

 When I entered the room I saw that there was a man sitting down. He looked like he had shaved his head so he was bald and also seemed quite muscular and had tattoo covered arms.

 “Here’s the girl I was telling you about” Haley said making her way to the desk. He turned round to face me and smiled showing that he had dimples. I gave him small smile in return. This was the first time in ages that I had smiled a genuine smile.

“Sit down then” Haley said. I did as she said.

 “I’m Matt by the way” the guy said stretching out his arm for me to shake his hand. “Jade” I simply said, I wasn’t really in a talkative mood. I didn’t shake his hand either. He shrugged and rested his hand back on the arm rest.

 Soon I realized that I had seen Matt somewhere before but not just randomly. I couldn’t place where though. My mind slowly slipped out of thought and I started to listen to what was being said. Matt was talking to me.

 “I’m the lead singer of a band” then it clicked who he was. He was the lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold. “Of Avenged Sevenfold?” I asked to confirm my thoughts.

 “Yeah, you a fan?”

 “Of course. You guys are awesome.” This was the complete truth. His band was sometimes the only thing that could make me feel a glimmer of happiness. The way that I became a fan of them was that a girl at school was handing out flyers of them which had their MySpace account on. So I checked them out. I’m not a huge fan of them but I’m getting there. Matt just smiled.

 “Cool. How long have you been a fan?”

 “About two months or so”

 “Sweet” he simply said. Me and Matt chatted for a while. Haley just sat there and let us get to know each other without any interruptions.
